By booking services with Kent Reptile Care, you agree to the following terms and conditions.


Services

Kent Reptile Care provides home visit services for reptiles and certain exotic animals within agreed service areas.


Services may include:

  • Feeding
  • Water changes
  • Temperature and humidity checks
  • Spot cleaning
  • General welfare checks


All care is provided based on information and instructions supplied by the owner.


Owner Responsibilities

Owners are responsible for ensuring:

  • Accurate care information is provided
  • Enclosures and equipment are in safe working condition
  • Heating, lighting, thermostats, and timers are functioning correctly
  • Adequate food, supplements, and supplies are available for the duration of care
  • The animal is legally owned and safe to handle


Kent Reptile Care reserves the right to refuse service where animal welfare, safety, or working conditions are considered unsuitable.


Veterinary Emergencies

In the event of illness, injury, equipment failure, or emergency concerns relating to the animal’s welfare, Kent Reptile Care will attempt to contact the owner immediately.


If the owner cannot be reached and urgent veterinary attention is considered necessary, Kent Reptile Care reserves the right to seek veterinary assistance on the owner’s behalf.


Any veterinary costs remain the responsibility of the owner.


Liability

While all reasonable care and precautions are taken, Kent Reptile Care cannot be held liable for:

  • Illness, injury, escape, or death resulting from pre-existing health conditions
  • Equipment failure, including heating, lighting, or electrical faults
  • Natural feeding refusal or behavioural changes common in reptiles

  • Delays or inability to attend caused by severe weather, accidents, emergencies, or circumstances outside reasonable control


Liability is limited to the value of the booked service.


Access to Property

Owners are responsible for providing safe and legal access to the property during agreed visit periods.


Any alarm systems, locks, or access instructions must be provided accurately before the booking begins.


Kent Reptile Care accepts no responsibility for security issues resulting from faulty locks, alarms, or incorrect information supplied by the owner.


Payments

Payment terms will be agreed prior to the booking.


Kent Reptile Care reserves the right to request payment in advance for new clients or longer bookings.


Cancellations

Cancellations should be made as early as possible.


Kent Reptile Care reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee for short-notice cancellations where time has been specifically reserved for the booking.


Photography and Social Media

Photos of animals may occasionally be taken for welfare updates or social media content.


No identifying personal information or property details will ever be shared publicly without permission.

Owners may request that no photographs are used publicly at any time.
