The person behind Kent Reptile Care.
I'm Sabian, the founder of Kent Reptile Care. I'm an Animal Management graduate with a First-Class BSc (Hons) degree and ten years of experience working within zoological establishments.
Alongside this professional experience, I've been keeping reptiles for around five years and have spent two years working specifically within the exotic-pet industry.
This combination of professional animal-care experience and specialist reptile knowledge allows Kent Reptile Care to provide knowledgeable, welfare-focused care tailored to each animal and its established routine.
Rather than simply checking that food and water are available, each visit is approached with the animal's individual husbandry requirements in mind - including enclosure conditions, heating, lighting, humidity, feeding and general wellbeing.

Visit scheduling
Visit frequency is agreed at the time of booking based on your reptiles’ species, enclosure stability, feeding requirements, and your preferences. This can range from daily visits through to reduced-frequency schedules, such as visits every 2–3 days where appropriate for the setup. All care schedules are confirmed in advance so you know exactly what level of care your reptiles will receive before the booking is finalised.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Get in Touch
Get in contact via the "Get in Touch" section, and fill out all the relevant information.
2. Complete an Intake Form
You'll be asked to complete a short care form covering your reptiles, enclosure setup, feeding requirements, emergency contacts, and any important husbandry information. This ensures all care is carried out consistently with your existing husbandry routine.
3. Booking Confirmation
Once all details have been reviewed, your booking and visit schedule will be confirmed. If required, key collection arrangements will also be agreed at this stage.
4. Home Visit Care
Visits are carried out according to your reptiles' normal routine, including feeding, welfare checks, and enclosure monitoring.
5. Updates & Peace of Mind
Photos and updates can be provided during visits, so you know your reptiles are doing well.

home access and key security
Your home and keys are treated with the same level of care and discretion as your pets.
Complimentary key collection is available within the standard Maidstone service area, so you don't need to make a separate trip to provide access to your home. Key collection arrangements are agreed in advance and are subject to availability.
Keys provided for pet-sitting visits are stored securely when not in use and are never labelled with your name or home address. Access to your property is limited to the agreed dates and times required to provide your pet's care.
Where appropriate, keys can be retained securely for future bookings, avoiding the need to arrange key collection each time. Alternative access arrangements, such as a key-safe or trusted contact, can also be discussed.
Key collection outside the standard Maidstone service area may be subject to the applicable travel charge.
